Book binge

Tonight as I was driving home, I made a rash decision.  I decided that I needed to stop at Barnes and Noble and pick up a book.  I walked out with three.

The End of Faith by Sam Harris.  I promised my friend that I would read this book.  I’ve been derelict in keeping my promise, so I bought it.  It doesn’t look as…scary….fightening as I thought it would.  I look forward to diving into it to see what Sam Harris has to say.  I’m fairly certain that the spine of the book is going to break from being thrown across the room (irrational, I admit) but I am going to read it.  A deal is a deal.  A promise is a promise.  *mental note to self–buy some wine on the way home tomorrow* 🙂

For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn.  A few months ago I reviewed a bood called For Young Men Only that gave boys the insight into girls’ minds.  I’ve wanted to read For Women Only for a while, but this is the first time I’ve found it.  I’ve read two chapters and…yeah…I feel like I need to apologize for myself already.  This book is affirming things that I already knew within me.

I also bought some light reading…a story about an Amish girl.  It’s wrench my heart, make me cry, and take me away from the real world for a couple of hours.  It’s my latest closet addiction.
