Moving on up…

I am officially apartment hunting.  I want to find a place that is “me.”  I want to live in a neighborhood that kind of fits my eccentric personality.

I need a good kitchen and a good bathroom.  I would like to have a grocery store walkable.  Being close to my friends and my friend Faith’s coffeeshop would be definite pluses.

I found two places in roughly the same neighborhood that made me email the poster immediately.  One has a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, beautiful granite counters and a flipping AMAZING bathroom.  The other has a deck with a bar that overlooks the skyline.

I also found a decently priced apartment in the loft district that includes parking.

I can’t wait to entertain in my new place.  We may be sitting on my couch and my bed eating the food that I’ve prepared, but heck, come on over!

  1. Hello,

My name is Becca and I work with Compassion International. I was doing some research recently and I came across your site, https://deneenwhite.com/2009/03/30/moving-on-up/. You have such a gift of writing. You’re thoughts, though they are thoughts are very challenging. Thank you for sharing your strength and your wisdom.

Also, I wanted to thank you for including Compassion International in the “Social Responsibility”. This is a terrific way to help spread the word about Compassion and encourage others to help children living in poverty.

I have a small favor to ask regarding your link to Compassion. Do you think it would be possible to update the link to the words “Compassion” to “Compassion :: Sponsor a Child”? The word “Compassion” would be linked to http://www.compassion.com and the words “Sponsor a Child” would be linked to http://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/default.htm?

This will help explain to your site’s visitors what it is that Compassion does and what they will find at Compassion’s website if they choose to click on the link. I know this seems like a very specific detail but it really can make a difference. It provides just a little bit more information that will hopefully encourage people to help children in need. Imagine how blessed you will feel if your effort leads to helping just one child!

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact me.

    May God richly bless you,

    Becca Brickey
    Compassion International
