Minor irritations relatively…

So, yesterday, I went with my a group of people with whom I work to NYC for the day.  It was a great day, but I am completely zonked.  I mean, I am completely worn out even after a night of pretty solid sleep.

These days are hectic…hurry up to wait and have a meeting here.  Ok, let’s run 15 blocks to the next destination to hurry up and wait for another meeting.  Oh yeah…we still have to eat.  Well, we’re done, let’s hurry to Penn Station and catch a train back to South Jersey before rush hour.  Let’s wait half an hour for the train.  OK…we’ve been on the train for over an hour…let’s hop in our cars and head home.

Yesterday, I made a grave mistake.  I wore heels.  I knew better…but I couldn’t wear my black tennis shoes.  So, I sit here with blisters on the balls of my feet.  Yes, it is as painful as it sounds.

As I was limping back to my car at the end of the day, I was feeling sorry for myself, until I remembered.  There are people in this country, on this continent, in this world who’ve never had a pair of shoes.

Which reminds me.  We’re on day three of our 50 days for 50,000 pairs of shoes with Shoes for Souls.  You can visit www.5000shoes.com to donate $5 which will supply two pairs of shoes for someone who needs them.  One person who donates at during this initiative days will win a trip o Mexico to deliver the shoes that they’ve donated!

If you read my blog and donate and win the trip, don’t forget who told you about this…no pressure or anything 🙂
