America, your apathy is appalling. Seriously.
Over the past few days, I’ve heard WAY TOO MANY people say that they are not going to vote. There’s no reason. Obama’s already won. McCain’s already lost. The fact of the matter is that noone has won or lost. The final counts ARE NOT IN.
I have voted in 14 of the last 15 elections (assuming I wake up alive tomorrow and can vote.) The reason that I missed one election is because my application for an absentee ballot was denied because my signature has changed quite a bit since I was 18 and registerd to vote.
Americans–if you don’t vote, you deserve what you get. Here in this country, we have a privelege that much of the world does not have. On November 4, we have the chance to have our voices heard. People died so that we could have the opportunity to choose our government rather than having it dictated for us.
I don’t care who you vote for . OK, that’s a lie. I do care. But here in the US, we have the freedom to choose our elected officials. But I do care that you vote. There are millions of people in this country who don’t have the privelege to vote. Let your voice be heard.
If you don’t vote though you have the privelege, SHUT UP. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN.
