back from the big apple

Over the past few days, I attended the largest dental meeting in the US.  Though I am completely exhausted, I really enjoyed the meeting.  I love talking to people.  I enjoyed getting to know my co-workers from the NY office.  We had some time to enjoy ourselves.  For the most part, we worked well together.

I learned quite a bit about myself.  Maybe I’m crazy, but I enjoy trade shows.  Yeah, my feet hurt like heck.  But I enjoy talking to people about what my company has to offer.  I enjoy talking to other companies about what they have to offer.  I love passionate people, and people at these meetings are VERY passionate.

We had some time to let our hair down while we were there.  One night we went out for Korean BBQ (good stuff.)  We all had a bit too much to drink (soju and korean beer are killers…) and then went for karaoke.  I don’t recall laughing so hard in a long time.  My coworkers love to sing.  It is amazing how many props a mic stand and a mic can be used for.  I never would have guessed.  I’ve maintained for a long time that there is not enough alcohol in the world to make me get up in front of a group and sing.  Well…that is true.

I’m home for a bit now.  I don’t have another business trip until the end of February when I will most likely be going to Boston for a show at the Hynes Convention Center.  I cannot wait.  Other than that, I am going to take a day trip to NYC and a weekend to Boston.  Hopefully this time I will make it north…

Sunday I’m going to church…I can’t wait.  I know that I shouldn’t depend on church for my relationship with Christ, but I need to be in a group of people worshipping God with all that they are.  So…I’m getting refreshed by the river this weekend.

For now…it’s Cowboys vs Packers time 🙂
