It’s funny.  I was unemployed for over six months between my time in Boston and the time that I found this job.  (I worked in my friend’s salon, but that didn’t work out so well for me…haha).  During my unemployed season, I spent a lot of time at home.  I blogged five times a day about birds chirping and the rustle of autumnal leaves.  I spent a lot of time spinning my wheels.  I didn’t really accomplish too much, but I completely fantasized about what life would be like when I finally had a job.

Fast forward seven months.  I have a job that I love (on most days.)  I was enrolled full time in seminary–but I had to drop down to part time.  Though I am working well over 40 hours on the average week, I am happier than I’ve been in a long time. 

My job.  I’ve had my ups and downs…but I can see God’s hand in it all.  This job that God is preparing for me is apostolic.  I will learn how to set up a network of training programs, tailored to the market, all with the same goal.  I am going to work on learning Korean.  I am certainly learning Korean customs and idiosyncrasies. 

The downside is that my church life is suffering.  There are Sundays that I cannot make it to church…that I do not want to go to church.  But, outside the walls of the church, I am developing what I believe will prove to be lifelong friendships…people who challenge me to be more of who God created me to be and less of what the church expects me to be.
