So, who are you? Fun little Q&A session

Ok. There are some people who read my blog consistently who do not comment. That’s cool, if you want to remain anonymous. I read a ton of blogs on which I rarely if ever comment.

That being said, however, I would love to know a little about you. i’d like this to be more like a community, so, I’m going to ask a few questions, and hopefully you will respond. Oh yeah….I’ll answer the questions as well.

What is your favorite color? Deep purple & deep red
Where did you grow up? The fine state of NJ
What is your favorite thing to do with your downtime? I love to watch my nephews play Little League Baseball. Both of them are on their way to the MLB 🙂
What is your favorite candy? (A former manager asked me this question when she was interviewing me for a promotion!) I like Twix bars…they are like three candies in one bar.
What is your favorite scripture? Isaiah 49 and 61–more on that later

What is your favorite color?
I like green – the color of PASSING rather than FAILING, of GOING rather than STOPPING, and the color of healthy plants.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Lawrence, KS.

What is your favorite thing to do with your downtime?

I like watching little league baseball too! My son Ben just figured out how to hit the ball into outfield for extra bases!

What is your favorite candy?
Chocolate. I had a snickers bar today but it was full of green stuff in honor of Shrek.

What is your favorite scripture?

This changes. I like Luke 4:16-19 where Jesus says he has come to proclaim the good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom to the prisoners, recovery of site to the blind, and to set the oppressed free, because this is so opposite of how the religious elite see religion (who tend to avoid the poor, the prisoners, and believe in keeping the oppressed oppressed), and its what I want to do too! It’s progressive!!

I also like visualizing Revelations 4 – about the throne room of heaven. I feel like God is telling me “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this” (4:1). I like the four creatures covered with eyeballs!

What is your favorite color? Green…Boston Celtic green…The days of Danny Ainge…He’s still my boy!!

Where did you grow up? Georgia…Home of The Atlanta Braves…Did I mention that they are still in first place….

What is your favorite thing to do with your downtime? Love my family…I wish I had more time for them…They help relax me in so many ways….

What is your favorite candy? Since Turnip Greens are not candy, I will say Butterfinger…Good stuff….

What is your favorite scripture? Genesis 1:1-Revelation 22:21…alright, I’ll pick one…Luke 24 passage when Jesus walks with the two downcast dudes from Emmaus…

Question for you??? Will Roger Clemmens help the Yankees get to the post season???

Yes, I believe that Roger Clemens is going to take the Yankees all the way to the World Series. Mark my words.

Color: The blues, golds, and purples of a desert sunset.

Where grew up: In the South….South Jersey that is.

Downtime favorite: Spending time with my new great-nephew. A great meal and wonderful conversation with friends. Plus there is never enough downtime to read all the books I want to read.

Candy: Anything in a purple wrapper with Cadbury written across the top…only if it doesn’t have nuts…yuk!

Scripture: Psalm 20 and Psalm 139…got me through some tough times. Isaiah 6:1-8, Isaiah 61, Joel 2, and John 21

For the record…what is the average coffee intake for Deneen on any given week???

Who’s counting? Well, the count is down severely due to infection…though I get the impression that I needed the coffee for energy for said infection.

I’ll count next week…but for the past few weeks it’s been an average of 20 shots of espresso each week…wow 😀
