Influence

Sometimes things are so obvious that you can’t see them…like the saying that you can’t see the forest through the trees.  (I may have hacked that one…haha)

Today I had a conversation with a co-worker that changed my perspective on certain things.  She’s told me these things a few times…but I never fully comprehended what she was saying.  Today, what she said clicked and I acted.

I tend to be a person who likes to be a change-maker.  I understand that if you change the position of a rudder ever-so-slighty that you can completely change the direction of a ship.  One of my strengths is recognizing certain qualities in other people and utilizing those strengths.  People who are resistant to change can be easily influenced to bring change about by playing to their strengths.

You don’t necessarily need to have a title to be a leader, to be an influencer.  Sometimes it’s just in your DNA.
