First assignment anxiety

I’m sitting here in the library trying like heck to write my first assignment for seminary that will actually count for a grade.  I have this problem.  With perfectionism.  I write.  I read.  I crunch the paper in a ball.  I write.  I read.  I crumble the paper.  I check my email.  I read a few blogs.  I write.  I read.  I crumble the paper in a ball after I’ve scribbled all over it.

The assignment in and of itself is simple.  Define three areas of theology and explain how they relate to systematic theology.  What is not simple is presenting myself in a new environment, hoping and praying that I’m not exposed as foolish.

Maybe I’m being too honest here.

Maybe I’m procrastinating.

Either way, I have to get back to killing trees.  Ummm….I mean…I have to complete my assignment.
