The Shack

I am probably the last person who is involved in the Christian world to read and blog about The Shack.  What can I say?  I am NOT an early adopter when it comes to Christian literature, books, trends.  I’ve been burnt a few too many times by books that I was convinced were “amazing,” “life changing,” blah blah blah.

This book…this book is an exception to my cynicism.  I love the way that it was written.  I love that William Young messed with my mind by changing the character of God.  I appreciate the characterization of the Holy Spirit.  My heart broke in a million pieces as I was reading it…but then somehow something in me changed as I read on.

I don’t 100% agree with some of the doctrine that was presented…but the overall book…I would recommend to anyone and everyone.  I’m probably going to buy a bunch and send them to some people I know…

Onto Wild Goose Chase.  Can’t wait.

I was set not to like the book, The Shack but after reading it, I thought it was really good and thought provoking. All the time I reaad it, I kept thinking it needs a study to go along with it. I finally decided God was urging me to write a study which I did. If anyone would like it, email me at prayerdigm.bookstudy@yahoo.com. I would be glad to send you the study. You are welcome to use it and copy it for others.
